Normally, our Building a Seller-Doer Culture session is presented as a half-day pre-regional conference session. For HRC 2022, we’ll cover the highlights in about 75 minutes. As we tightened the material, some pieces are better covered in this blog post. Consider this a teaser to the session. Trust us, in 75 minutes you will still get a growler full of tasty, hoppy goodness suitable to be called a Milwaukee cold brew that will prove helpful back at the office. Building a culture where seller-doers thrive, especially with our special brand of A/E/C technical folks, centers around having a good system and process in place. The session covers that with tons of good takeaways to implement immediately. The other key aspect to...

As an introvert, I never thought a simple logo and hashtag would have established me as a networking guru.  I cannot promise you the same results, or if you start on a similar journey will be easy or without multiple failures. The journey has taken me many years, and sheer perseverance and persistence kept me going thru the rough patches. But once I developed an informal toolkit of tips and strategies to overcome my initial shyness and fear of networking with others, my success grew exponentially. Early in the Covid world, I documented everything that helped improve my networking and what did not work over the years, creating the #lunchwithlorry Supercharged Networking Build Relationships First networking method. I’ve been involved in website design in different roles throughout my entire career. Starting in the late 90’s, when the field as we know it was just getting started, I’ve spent the last two decades leading and working on web redesign projects for organizations from technology startups, professional services firms and nonprofits to global B2B and B2C brands. You may say that, professionally, I grew up with the web design discipline. Today, web design remains one of Substance151’s core capabilities and I remain in the trenches. During my session, I will share what I’ve learned through 20+ years and hundreds of websites, focusing on the processes and practices that will make your lives easier.  Let’s talk about dialing up your next website...
