Jackiedra Wilson is a Cincinnati native and graduate of Mount St. Joseph University (summa cum laude), where she followed her joy of writing to earn a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts, and later a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. Her 20+ year career in communication and marketing spans three different industries – food ingredients, non-profit and construction – and has enabled her to expertly engage B2B, B2C and internal audiences.
Today, she is Senior Marketing Manager at Messer Construction Co. responsible for strategic planning and implementation of internal and external communication. Her work has been recognized for excellence by her peers, earning her both team and individual awards: 2019 World’s 10 Best Intranets by Nielsen Norman Group; and a 2018 Silver Quill Merit award by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) for the Plan.Participate.Purge.: Get Ready to Relocate campaign.
Jackiedra is a 15-year breast cancer survivor and an ambassador for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Greater Cincinnati where she speaks and volunteers at community events. She is an active volunteer at her church and leads a small group called POW: Power of Women focused on coaching, cheerleading and challenging toward “progress, not perfection.” She is a board member of IABC Greater Cincinnati chapter and chaired its new event Challenge Accepted!, a celebration of communication excellence and IABC’s 40th Anniversary.
