Eric Thoelke (pronounced toky) is the founder and chief creative officer of TOKY, an internationally-recognized branding and design firm, specializing in work for architects, museums, cultural organizations, destinations, and healthcare clients.
His work has been recognized by Communication Arts magazine, won platinum and gold awards in Graphis, has been featured in design annuals from the AIGA, the Type Directors Club, Print magazine, HOW magazine, Brand New, and many others. Eric has served as a judge for some of the design community’s most prestigious national and international peer review competitions, including the Communication Arts Design Annual, and has been asked to present his ideas on design and culture at conferences from New York City to San Diego.
Eric was selected as one of St. Louis Magazine’s “Great Minds”, and a “Buzz List” recipient from ALIVE magazine for co-founding the Midtown Alley Design District. Eric is a co-founder of St. Louis Design Week and co-led it for its first two years.
Eric has led the brand strategy and design initiatives for every TOKY architecture firm engagement, including those for HOK, SmithGroup, Corgan, PGAL, ENV, Fanning Howey, SLAM Collaborative, SWT Design, KSS Architects and Unispace.
